Commonly Asked Questions Of Dr. Barrera About Your Children's
Dental Care...

 |
"Dr. Barrera, when
should my child first see a pedodontist?" |
| |
"First visit by first birthday"
sums it up. Your child should visit a pedodontist when the first tooth comes
in, usually between six and twelve months of age. An early examination
at Dr B's office and
preventive care will protect your child's smile now and in the future.
At 12 months of age, parents should bring
their child to see a pediatric dentist for their first examination
where recommended home care will be given according to your child's
needs.
Our office also provides a complimentary visit we call Peek-A-Boo
for children under two years old. Our goal is to catch decay at an
early stage so that we can prevent further harm and to educate
parents on their baby’s oral hygiene. This is an informative
visit in which we will discuss oral hygiene, tooth eruption
patterns, nutrition, fluoride, early childhood cavities and oral
habits (pacifier, thumb and finger sucking). We are very excited and
hope that this program will assist with the total care of all your
little one’s health needs.
